Created by a group of young researchers, lecturers and doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences, Genre, sexualité & société sets out to provide a space for dialogue and exchange around questions of genre and sexuality and is unique in its field; most other journals relating to sexuality in the French-speaking world are related to the fields of medicine, psychology and sexology.
